Join us for an afternoon of discussion, prayer, reflection, and fellowship.  We will spend time finding new ways to draw closer to God in thanksgiving and prayer through the holiday season as singles who may be struggling with family issues, divorce, or the commercialization of this very holy time of year.
 

Come and experience a variety of prayer forms using movement, art, Scripture and meditation.

Quench Your Thirst with "Theology on Tap"

 

"Theology on Tap" is a four-week program - a speaker and conversation series sponsored by St. Francis' Ya2acht Club (Young Adult Group) for all adults in the community. Our Summer program includes a speaker presentation, followed by informal discussions on basic life issues, including faith, family, careers, and relationships. The faith sessions will feature clergy and lay speakers.
 

Called to wholeness, Lessons in Letting Go... a personal faith journey
Through stories of the most unlikely circumstances that led Janene to a personal relationship with God, this commissioned spiritual director will help us discover the call to our own special relationship with God.

There are many ways to pray and not all of them involve silence!  Turn up the volume and jump start your prayer with moves to Christian rock, rap and hip hop music.  Throw in some Scripture, guided mediation and journaling and we’ll have a complete prayer experience.  God does rock!  Basic movements will be taught which can be done by anyone, regardless of experience or physical limitation.

 

All 7th and 8th grade girls are invited to attend.

Confirmation Retreat:  Soul Tending

 

In preparation for their upcoming Confirmation, youth will gather at Camp Talahi for the weekend to explore how to prepare and take care of themselves to serve God and how they need God for the journey.  Through movement, Christian rock, rap and hip hop music, Scripture, reflection, journaling and discussion, participants will explore how much they need God, how their choices effect their journey, and how God is calling them now.  They will learn about Celtic Christianity and High Crosses and experience God’s Presence all around them, within them and in one another.

Middle School EDGE Retreat

 

St. Andrew’s EDGE group will focus on the theme of using hands and feet to serve God during their overnight retreat at Camp FaHoLo.  On Sunday morning some 75 EDGIES and leaders will activate their prayer using movement, Christian rock music and Scripture.  Through this time of getting closer to God they will learn how they are called to be His Hands and Feet.   

 

 


St. Michael Parish, Grand Ledge

Youth Group 24 Hour Food Fast

 

Homeless People in the U.S. ~ St. Michael’s Youth Group will live out the Gospel of ministering to the poor as they learn about the homeless in the U.S. during this overnight retreat.  They will fast in solidarity with the poor, sleep in cardboard boxes at night and huddle by the fire for warmth.  They will make blankets for the local homeless shelter to give to the poor in the community.  While experiencing the hunger in the bodies, they will activate their prayer using movement, Christian rock, rap and hip hop music and Scripture with Prayer in Motion, LLC.
