Advent Retreat ~ Birth Stories

Beyond our actual physical birth, God brings to birth new life in us and through us.  During Advent we prepare our hearts to more fully receive God’s love, made manifest in Christ, the greatest birth story of all time! Too often though, instead of a time of reflection, we become overwhelmed by the additional demands of the season.  Christmas arrives and we are exhausted, wondering what happened.

Let this year be different.  Take some time to stop and reflect on the season we are celebrating and what God is bringing to birth in you.  Join with others to nourish your Spirit and enhance your prayer life.  Be inspired by retreat facilitator, Janene Ternes, as she shares her amazing story of all that God has birthed in and through her.  Participate in prayer experiences designed to help you listen more deeply and become more focused.  Basic every day movements will be taught which can be done by anyone, regardless of experience or physical limitation.  All are invited to reflect, relax, and be refreshed as we await Christ’s birth!

Our Lady of Lourdes is located at 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH 43615.  To register or for more information, contact Peggy (419) 865-5322.  Free will donation requested.
