Peace is something we seek for ourselves and for the world.  But we cannot bring to the world that which we do not have within.  Come and find serenity in the midst of daily concerns by using everyday movements, music, Scripture, guided meditation, journaling and your whole self to pray.  Basic movements will be taught which can be done by anyone, regardless of age, experience or physical limitation.  We invite all to discover the deep peace that results from mindfully being in God's Presence.

Women's Retreat ~ Relax ... Reflect ... Revive


Feeling out of balance?  Worn out from the holidays?  In our busy lives of caring for others, it is so easy to neglect ourselves.  Join us for a morning that will refresh body and soul.  Keynote speaker Janene Ternes, will share the inspirational story of her journey from despair to joy.  Then, using music, Scripture, and simple movements, you will learn a way to pray that removes distractions and helps you focus so you can hear God. 


Join with other Catholic Central moms for a morning to step away from the daily demands and experience fellowship, fun, prayer, reflection, and insight.  Slow down and listen for God's guidance to show you how to live as the unique and special woman God created YOU to be.  All are invited to relax, reflect, and be renewed! 


Following the keynote speaker, there will be breakout sessions on additional ways to pray through journaling and meditation as well as yoga, followed by lunch.  Cost is $35.  Register at CCMC Women's Retreat.

In John 15:4, Jesus calls us to remain in him, just as he remains in us.  But the distractions and busyness of life can make that difficult at best.  Join us to learn some tools and spend some quiet time with Jesus.

An evening of reflection for RCIA candidates, their spouses, sponsors and the whole RCIA formation team in preparation for reception into the church at Easter.  Using movement, music, guided mediation, Scripture of the Lenten season and various rituals, we will accompany Jesus on his journey and reflect and pray on this great invitation from God to draw near.

Come away for a few days to peacefully reflect and rest in God's presence.  Experience the serenity and clarity that comes from listening to the Holy Spirit within you, guided by daily spiritual direction to help you explore and share your journey.  Grow deeper in relationship with God, gain new insights, and savor the moments of your life, past and present.  Listen and discern your future path.  Return home refreshed and restored.  This retreat will provide time and space for solitude, personal prayer and optional participation in campus liturgy and Tuesday evening peace prayer.  Register early as spiritual directors can generally accompany only 5 people per retreat. 


Janene Ternes, a Spiritual Director since 2003, graduated from the Ignatian Spirituality Program at Manresa Jesuit Retreat House.  She is currently a supervisor for Manresa's Internship in Spiritual Companionship.  Janene is also trained to accompany others through the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.  Janene's gentle presence, sensitive listening, and unconditional acceptance provide a safe place for sharing one's journey.  Her desire is to help others connect more intimately with God, leading to a more loving, peaceful, joyful and fulfilled life.
